ViaGen™

A range of patented energy recovery systems that capture waste energy from the motion of vehicles, waves from the sea and other movement.

Our road-based ViaGen™ systems are installed in braking zones where vehicles naturally decelerate and lose energy. Instead of letting that energy go to waste, ViaGen™ absorbs it and converts it into electricity. Our technology does not ‘steal’ energy from the vehicle itself or change the behaviour of how the vehicle moves – it simply harnesses energy from the way in which the vehicle is already behaving.

The electricity generated can be immediately used on-site, stored locally, or sold back to the grid or other third parties, offering exceptional flexibility for energy management.

Unlike many other green energy solutions that can strain the low-voltage network or rely heavily on battery storage, ViaGen™ systems operate independently, reducing dependency on external infrastructure.

The systems have a 20-year life span and are designed for 100 million cycles.

ViaGen™ products waste very little of the energy absorbed, with efficiency reaching up to 97%.

ViaGen™ Heavy

ViaGen™ Heavy is a robust, heavy-duty energy recovery system specifically designed to capture kinetic energy from larger, heavier vehicles. It excels in environments with a high density of HGV traffic such as ports, distribution centres, logistics hubs and construction sites. The system is easily integrated into existing road infrastructure, especially at gates or points of entry and exit where HGVs would naturally be slowing down.

ViaGen Marine – harnessing wave energy for clean maritime power

ViaGen Marine is a buoy-based energy recovery system that captures wave motion to generate reliable, off-grid electricity for maritime applications. Designed for ports, aquaculture, and offshore platforms, it is a breakthrough in wave energy technology, making it a practical and scalable alternative to offshore wind and solar.

ViaGen Marine – expanding the ViaGen Marine ecosystem

Beyond buoys, ViaGen Marine will evolve into a broader energy ecosystem. It can integrate directly into ships to generate renewable power from movement, serve as a stabilising base for floating offshore wind turbines, or form daisy-chained buoys for offshore charging stations. This expanded system will harness wave and motion energy to provide clean, scalable power for a range of maritime applications.
