The VIAGEN™ system recovers energy that would have otherwise been lost through vehicle braking. As a vehicle passes over the VIAGEN™ Energy Recovery System (ERS), it converts the vehicle's energy into hydraulic pressure and then into electrical power in the ViaGen Converter that can either be stored or distributed. The ViaGen system has been engineered to provide clean, reliable energy to any location and can be integrated with any low-voltage panel or transformer. It has also been engineered to be simple to operate and maintain. The VIAGEN™ system has integrated remote monitoring and will automatically notify Sostratus Energy as well as the operator in the event of any fault or issue.

With the escalating climate crisis, mounting pressure is placed on businesses and governments to reduce carbon emissions. Most businesses and governments have committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 or earlier. For many businesses, this involves electrifying their operations, which requires expanding connections to the grid and/or building on-site generation.

THE FUTURE DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU TO TODAY
We are powering change by helping businesses, cities and countries reach net zero using a revolutionary integrated road-based energy recovery system, the VIAGEN™.
The ERS (Energy Recovery System) comprises modular road-based units that can be installed into the ground at locations with high volumes of HGV traffic. They appear as a series of small speed bumps which rock upon impact. Additional modules can be provided to increase the energy produced.
For the VIAGEN™ system to provide a clean and stable output, the Converter receives hydraulic flow and pressure from the ERS, which it converts into electricity. The Converter is a small enclosure which contains the equipment required to convert hydraulic power into electricity, which it stores.
A concrete plinth should be provided to mount the Converter close to the ERS. A survey will be undertaken between Sostratus Energy and the Client to ensure optimal locations for the ERSs.
The client will provide a suitable location to install the ERS, and existing infrastructure schematics, such as cables or fibre, must be checked before installation. The ERS units can be dug into the ground, or an additional shallow ramp can be installed to prevent damage to the existing infrastructure.
